I rarely give 5 Stars right from the get go. But today is indeed a rarity. My wife and I are looking at properties around the Port Credit and Lorne Park neighbourhood. And we decided to grab lunch. So Google is everyone’s best friend right? We were looking for a local mom & pop restaurant for us to visit and support. These individuals put in long hours in the day and they all deserve our support. The restaurant is owned by a lovely husband and wife who have been running their restaurant for 25 years. It is located in a lovely historical property which still stirs the echoes of a bygone Victorian era. It harkens us back to the times of the gilded age. The building itself is worth the visit alone. There is free parking in the back of the building which can be accessed from John street next to the property. Otherwise, there is street and parking lot spaces nearby. The menu is small but focused and done to perfection. The stuffed sole was so delicious . I recently visited the Maritimes and their fresh seafood dishes and trust me … I had plenty of fresh seafood on my visit. But the stuffed sole dish stood out in my mind above the others. It was that good . Try it out folks if you are skeptical and it will make a believer out of you . The meat pie was scrumptious with the tender chunks of stewed meat melted away in my mouth along with the perfectly seasoned and textured mashed potatoes on top. I underestimated the portion and I was so full. I was deeply disappointed because I planned to try their popular home made key lime pie . No worries… I will order two slices my next time around..no more fooling around here… lol . The salad was also delightful and fresh with strawberries and raspberries. But that house dressing was spectacularly tasty. Did I forget to mention the wonderful fresh bread that is brought to your table. That was a hit as well. I also had an opportunity to speak with the owner and he took the time to talk about the long history of the property along with the pictures of memories hanging on the walls… if the walls could only talk … what tales they would tell…. Please do drop in and give them a try. Ps. Please check their hours. They are only open Thursday to Sunday only if I am not mistaken. Happy Eats everyone

Very nice restaurant and delicious food! The owner Allan has a nice sense of humor, and his wife is a wonderful chef! We already brought a lot of our friends and family to this restaurant, and they all loved it. We will be back soon again!

Super quirky place. Very intimate as the whole restaurant is a regular home that was converted. Be sure to be there at opening or make a reservation. Food is delicious home cooked which matches the ambiance perfectly! Highly recommended!

Really enjoyed our visit. The only place we we went back to for a second dinner while vacationing in Niagara Falls and Toronto area. Very quaint historical house and the owners were so down to earth. It was relaxing, to the point of being therapeutic. Menu is small, but anything on it is very good. The chicken parmigiana, lamb chops and orange roughy are top notch! Try the butternut squash soup. Heaven. Got to get back.

Quaint little spot to dine. Quiet and homey with delicious food. Not a lot of options on the menu, but that's what made the food good since there's more attention to prep and cooking. Seafood chowder and seafood croissant were excellent. The chef didn't skimp on the seafood at all; you get your moneys worth. The service was great and attention to detail. Other restaurants might rush you to eat and leave, but not here. Overall, felt like we got some good homemade food. There's a ramp for easy accessibility.

I am reluctant to share this review for selfish reasons . ,I don’t want this excellent location to get too busy . But I would be remiss , if I didn’t give the accolades to this lovely couple who does an absolute magnificent job in service and food services . They deserve to be recognized in the Port Credit Community. We knew about this restaurant because it’s directly across from where we worship and we have always wanted to try it . Thankfully our good friends invited us , and it was arguably the best meal my wife and I have had in a long time . Rustic, quiet , quaint reasonable y priced, extensive wine list , Red or White and Two types of beer. Truly an excellent atmosphere , server / owner great dry sense of humour and serves you without asking you “how’s it tasting “. ? Which a pet peeve of mine when I have attended many other restaurants. Unobtrusive and pleasant and with a great touch of rustic class. I hope they stay for a long time . I had the chowder soup and rack of lamb . Cesar salad was fresh and crispy. Don’t have enough adjectives to articulate how much we enjoyed the experience . It will be one of the staple locations to go to in Pirt Credit!
